Release Train Engineer (RTE)
The RTE is a key role in the SAFe framework, acting as a servant leader and chief Scrum Master for an Agile Release Train (ART), which is a team of multiple agile teams. Their main responsibilities include facilitating Program Increment (PI) Planning, coordinating synchronization events (e.g., System Demos), and optimizing the flow of value through the ART. The RTE ensures that teams are on track, impediments are removed, and alignment with business priorities is maintained.
Safe Program Consultant (SPC)
SPCs are responsible for driving and implementing SAFe across the organization. They coach teams, guide leadership through the transformation process, and ensure alignment of business goals with agile practices. SPCs play a central role in scaling agility across departments and functions, helping to establish lean-agile mindsets, value streams, and the Lean Portfolio Management structure. They also facilitate key events such as PI Planning and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops
Objectives and Key Results (OKR)
